Il a été conçu par Benjamin Joseph Backhouse et construit de 1863 à 1865 par CA Doran. Il est également connu sous le nom de St Mary of the Assomption Church et St Mary's Church. Il a été ajouté au Queensland Heritage Register le 21 octobre 1992.
