Polar regions Travel Guide

The harsh, secluded and for most of the year icy polar regions are among the most inaccessible areas on Earth. Spreading over hundreds of square kilometers, the snow-covered wilderness cut through by icy mountain ranges seems both dangerous and fascinating. An unusual view is guaranteed by the Ilullisat fjord on Greenland with giant ice fragments drifting on the Arctic Sea. In the polar areas not yet affected by civilization, the animals are its main inhabitants, and man is only a guest. Seals and walruses lying on glaciers, walking polar bears and floating whales are the main element of Greenland’s scenery. In turn, numerous penguin colonies occupying the coastline are characteristic for Antarctica.
