Facts and practical information
The Park of the Nations is an area of approximately 10 ha located in the city of Oberá, Province of Misiones, Argentina and has the particularity of being the permanent headquarters of the National Immigrant Festival that takes place every year, during the month of September.
The park is located a few kilometers away from the center of the city, demarcated by Ucrania Street, National Route 14 and Andresito Avenue. In it are located the 14 typical houses of each of the collectivities, as well as the Municipal Museum of History and Natural Sciences and the headquarters of the Federation of Collectivities, organizer of the festival.
Since 1980, the Immigrant's Party was held in the Municipal Sports Complex Ian Barney, given by the municipality for this event. With the passing of the years, the party acquired popularity at provincial and national level, being nowadays the most important celebration of the province of Misiones. With the growing popularity, the number of visitors was also increasing, leaving the Municipal Complex small. So after 17 editions held in that place, in 1998, the festival was moved to the Park of Nations, which receives more than 120,000 visitors per edition.
