Built around 1940, it extends for almost 4 km offering today all the necessary amenities to enjoy the square and the sun. It is a constituent part of the so-called Barrio La Florida and Barrio Alberdi, which in turn belongs to the old Alberdi Village, on the banks of the Paraná River.
People from Rosario have been spending their summer vacations in this area since the end of the 19th century. It is accessed by the so called Costanera Norte Avenue, on whose margin you can observe an imposing landscape of colossal old and contemporary chalets, surrounded by sumptuous gardens, property of the wealthy families of the city. It presents clearly differentiated zones as you walk along it from south to north, finding first the nautical descents and private beaches of the riverside clubs; then the most popular zone is located and at present the only one that maintains its free access, which is accessed through an artificial descent that cuts the original ravine, in which the traditional Bajada Puccio Avenue was built.
Then you arrive at a concessioned beach resort that has an extensive sandy beach, arches for soccer practice, permanent cleaning service, showers and bathrooms, three beach bars and a minimarket, river sector properly marked with buoys for bathing, and a parking lot on the north side with a capacity for five hundred cars. It has an emergency service with a doctor's office, doctor and ambulance, as well as a boat equipped with an outboard motor for aquatic rescue, duly qualified lifeguards and private security.
Finally, arriving at the head of the Rosario-Victoria Bridge, you can access the Costa Alta sector, a public space on the riverbank that has been recently recovered since it was inaccessible for years for the city's neighbors. It consists of a pedestrian path six blocks long that starts from the Bajada Escauriza which is known as Paseo del Caminante and also has a static dock that goes 50 m into the Paraná, this dock is intended for rental boats that go to the surrounding islands and with capacity to operate simultaneously four medium-sized boats. There is also a panoramic elevator with capacity for thirty people that not only allows the ascent and descent to the Paseo del Caminante and the pier, but also serves as a privileged viewpoint of the city, the river and the islands. The resort was one of the official venues of the South American Beach Games 2019, fourth edition, which took place from March 14 to 23, 2019 in the city.
