Binagadi asphalt lake
The Binagadi asphalt lake are a cluster of tar pits in urban Baku, Azerbaijan. Asphaltum or tar has seeped up from the ground in this area for tens of thousands of years. The tar is often covered with dust, leaves, or water. Over many centuries, animals that were trapped in the tar were preserved as bones.
Lake Boyukshor
Boyukshor, also spelled separately Boyuk Shor is the second largest lake of Azerbaijan and largest on Absheron Peninsula. It is located in the center of the Absheron peninsula, on the boundaries of Binagadi, Sabunchu and Narimanov raions of the city of Baku.
Masazirgol
Masazirgol, or Masazir Lake is a salty lake in Qaradag raion, an administrative division of the capital city of Baku, Azerbaijan located on the Absheron Peninsula on the West coast of the Caspian Sea. The overall area of the lake is 10 km².
Jeyranbatan reservoir
Jeyranbatan reservoir is a reservoir in the Absheron Rayon in eastern part of Azerbaijan. It is located between Baku and Sumgayit cities, next to Ceyranbatan settlement 20 km away from Baku.
