Climate of Bahrain

Bahrain lies in a tropical climate zone of the extremely dry variety.

During the summer season from the second half of April to the end of October it does not rain at all, and temperatures are very high. During the day the heat reaches 40°C - 45°C, while at night the temperature drops to about 20°C, the air then becomes more crisp. The climate during the summer is heavily influenced by air masses coming from the Zagros Mountains across the Persian Gulf, which cause an increase in strong winds and the formation of sandstorms.

The winter season is wetter, but relatively warm. Temperatures oscillate between 16°C and 25°C, nights are unfortunately a bit cooler with temperatures around 5°C - 10°C. Precipitation in Bahrain reaches only 80 mm per year and occurs practically only during the winter season, in the form of sudden and short-lived downpours.
