The church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Basilian monastery, Council - church in Vitebsk, a monument to the Vilnius Baroque architecture. In the construction, the church of San Carlo Al Corso in Rome was taken as a model. The building was designed by Józef Fontana. It is located on the falling hill. It was built as a Uniate church in 1715–1743, then served the Orthodox parish, destroyed by the Bolsheviks and rebuilt at the beginning of the 21st century. This is one of the largest churches in Belarus.
