The Salamander Tower, located in Beaumont, is an ancient keep from the 11th century. Developed and enlarged into a fortress dominating the valley of the Hantes, it is the origin of the city of Beaumont. It is the most important remnant of the ancient walls and now houses a museum retracing the history of the town.
