The municipality comprises the towns of Belzele, Doornzele, Ertvelde, Evergem proper, Kerkbrugge-Langerbrugge, Kluizen, Rieme, Sleidinge and Wippelgem. On January 1, 2020, Evergem had a total population of 35,628. The total area is 75.04 square kilometres which gives a population density of 430 inhabitants per km². ()
