Galerie de la Reine - Koninginnegalerij, Brussels
Facts and practical information
The Queen's gallery is a Brussels gallery dating from the 19th century.
This gallery forms with the King's gallery and the Princes' gallery a unique architectural ensemble: the Saint-Hubert royal galleries. These are covered galleries with many stores. One finds there a great number of the patented suppliers of the Court of Belgium.
The most famous stores are the pharmacy, Delvaux leather goods and the Neuhaus chocolate factory at number 23 since 1857. In 1910, Jean Neuhaus and his wife invented filled chocolate, to which they gave the name "praline."
To the south, the Queen's Gallery leads to the Rue du Marché aux Herbes, near the Grand Place, and on the other side of this street begins the Horta Gallery.
