These figures are based on daily meals consisting of approximately 2200-2400 kcal and may vary slightly depending on the city.

Prices for a kilo of these products range from 6.15 BMD (5.88 EUR) for a kilo of onions to 24.57 BMD (23.51 EUR) for a kilo of beef. The price of white rice is 7.15 BMD (6.84 EUR) per kilo, while a loaf of fresh white bread costs 6.95 BMD (6.65 EUR) per half kilo. Bananas cost 7.37 BMD (7.05 EUR) per kilo, while apples cost 10.78 BMD (10.32 EUR) per kilo.

Water, available in 1.5-liter bottles, costs 3.52 BMD (3.37 EUR).
