Arautos da Paz Square is a square located in the Eastern Region of Campinas, next to Parque Portugal and Taquaral Lagoon. It is an open space, with an area of 65,000m², built in 2001, during the term of Mayor Antônio da Costa Santos, on a large undeveloped land to host the 14th National Eucharistic Congress and revitalized in 2004, which hosts large shows, circuses, open-air cinema sessions and June parties, among other events, due to its location and the space available for large crowds of people. On April 21, 2016 it was the stage for a free concert by the band Sepultura, there was confusion among the more than 20,000 people present being that three people were stabbed and one person was arrested.
