Shopping Bela Vista is a shopping center located in Salvador, capital of the Brazilian state of Bahia. It is part of a real estate development in the Pernambués neighborhood called Horto Bela Vista, planned by the company JHSF.
Initially it was called Megacenter Salvador, then it was renamed Shopping Metrô Santa Cruz Salvador in March 2008, and, since September 2008, it has had its current name.
The shopping center has nine movie theaters, a go-kart track and bowling alley, 195 stores in total in 50,000 square meters of gross leasable area, a food court, a 9,890-square-meter roof garden, and foresees the implementation of a new access structure, alleviating local traffic. The construction work started in July 2009 and the inauguration of the first stage took place on July 13, 2012.
The mall promises the circulation of 40 thousand people per day and sales of around 60 million reais per month, generating 4.8 thousand jobs.
