Miniworld, Gramado
Facts and practical information
Mini Mundo is a Brazilian miniature park, located in the city of Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul, and is one of the most traditional tourist attractions of this city. In the park there are miniature cities, about 24 times smaller than the real size.
The Mini Mundo was born in 1981, from the affection of a father and a grandfather, who decided to give their two children, the girl with a dollhouse and the boy with a set of castles with trains, in a small recreation area, next to the Ritta Röppner Hotel, belonging to the family. Little by little, this little game grew, until in 1983 it was opened to the public with the inauguration of the Mini World.
In the Mini World visitors will find important works of humanity, among them European castles, city halls, railway stations, churches, television towers, groups of houses, airports, and subways, as well as housing, commercial, and service units.
There are almost 140 buildings of all sizes, from the most contemporary, such as Bariloche Airport in Argentina, to the oldest buildings, such as Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.
