Praia da Ilhota

Ilhota Beach is a beach located in the city of Itapema, in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. It presents as its fundamental characteristic the gastronomic options related to seafood. Besides this, Ilhota Beach is responsible for sheltering most of the surfers in the region, since the 766 m of the beach have crystal clear waters. One can also observe the presence of a golf course by the sea.

A quiet beach of medium extension, it is known as one of Itapema's refuges. Little explored, it preserves its simple look, besides its natural beauty. It usually receives a good number of visitors in the summer, who find here a great option to relax and take a delicious sea bath. It has a good stretch of golden and thick sand, the sea is slightly rough, with crystalline waters, that form some waves when it is windy. It is a good option for bathing and practicing some water sports. This beach has moderate infrastructure, but a good option is to bring food and drinks, so that no unforeseen events occur. Since it is a quiet beach, visitors take the opportunity to relax and restore their energy.

Ilhota Beach is a beach with crystal clear waters and strong waves, coming from the open sea, ideal for surfing. The beach is known for the good gastronomic options offered by the sea. Access is by BR-101 just after the Federal Highway Police station northbound. Further south at the beginning of the beach is the rock formation on the border with Plaza Beach - Itapema Hotel that allows a beautiful view of both beaches.
