The Tocantins Historical Museum is a state public museum located in the city of Palmas, capital of the state of Tocantins, Brazil. Inaugurated on March 18, 2002, it is housed in the so-called Palacinho, the first building built in Palmas in 1989, soon after the creation of the state of Tocantins. The building, which served as the headquarters of the Tocantins government until the construction of the Araguaia Palace, has been under state trust since 1992. The museum houses the most important collection of artistic, historical, archaeological, and ethnographic objects in the state of Tocantins.
