Praia da Feiticeira, Ilhabela
Facts and practical information
Feiticeira is one of the most famous beaches in the Brazilian city of Ilhabela. It is located 5 km from the ferry, and 11,5 km from the village of Ilhabela in southern direction, between the Portinho beach and the Julião beach. To get to the beach one has to walk about 200 meters from the main road.
The beach has 250 meters of dense, tumble-shaped sand. Two waterfalls flow between the beach and the coastline to the south.
It was formerly home to a sugar mill, where today is the São Matias Farm. Its big house is colonial style, and occupies the entire left end of the beach. The bathers have access to the beach passing by the big house and by an artificial waterfall that was built by the old owners of the farm. It flows directly onto the beach. The other end of the beach is home to a luxurious condominium.
