Mucuripe is a Brazilian beach, located in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, near the harbor pier.
Mucuripe Beach is the eastward continuation of Meireles Beach. Mucuripe's sidewalk is a little narrower than Meireles, but it is wide enough to attract many people, who come to stroll, walk, or watch soccer matches on the sand courts.
The green area is composed of some trees and coconut trees, which decorate the shore of this beach. It has a good stretch of clear sand, the sea is calm, varying between green and blue depending on the weather.
There are several tourist rafts scattered around Fortaleza for tourists to take pictures, but in Mucuripe, the rafts are in fact used as a means of living for several fishing families.
At the end of the seaside avenue is the fish and seafood market, where you can not only admire the abundance of fish, lobster, squid, and crustaceans, but also buy small portions and take them to be prepared in small stalls in the market itself.
It is also from Mucuripe that the boat tours depart, where you can see the city from a different point. The boats can take a few dozen people, and are inspected to ensure the safety of the passengers.
