Black-and-yellow broadbill

The black-and-yellow broadbill is an eye-catching bird belonging to the Eurylaimidae family, often observed in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. These birds inhabit subtropical or tropical moist lowland and montane forests but are increasingly threatened by habitat loss.

What distinguishes the black-and-yellow broadbill is its distinctive appearance. It features black wings adorned with yellow spots, a bright blue beak, a pink chest, a yellow belly, and a black head with a white collar. It bears such a close resemblance to the banded broadbill that you might have to look twice to tell them apart!
