Canadian National Exhibition

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), affectionately known as The Exhibition or simply The Ex, is a cherished annual event held at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario. Since its inception in 1879, the fair has evolved from a primary focus on agriculture and technology to a vibrant celebration featuring diverse exhibits, live entertainment, agricultural displays, sports events, and a bustling carnival midway filled with rides and games. Attracting approximately 1.5 million visitors each year, the CNE is Canada’s largest annual fair and ranks as the sixth largest in North America.

Exhibition Place, the home of the CNE, is a vast venue brimming with various buildings and attractions. Visitors can enjoy live music performances, savor multicultural cuisine from numerous food vendors, explore agricultural and industrial exhibits, and watch entertaining shows and parades. The site also features notable landmarks such as BMO Field and the Coca-Cola Coliseum.

The Canadian National Exhibition Association (CNEA) and its volunteer Board of Directors govern the CNE. Operating independently from the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place and the City of Toronto, the CNEA ensures the fair's financial and organizational stability. The Board of Directors comprises representatives from various sectors, including Municipal, Manufacturers and Industry, Agriculture, and General and Liberal Arts.
