Zhongshan Square is a square in the center of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. The square covers an area of 8.38 hectares, of which 6.27 hectares are green areas. The site of the square was originally the location of the official offices of the state, prefectural and provincial governments, and in the autumn of 1929, Ningbo Zhongshan Park was built, the first park in Ningbo's history. in early 1998, the former Zhongshan Park and Ningbo Stadium were renovated and joined together to form Zhongshan Square. The square consists of three parts: the traditional culture park, the turn of the century square and the future square, which contains the former Zhongshan Park buildings, the former site of Ningbo Chamber of Commerce and the former residence of Zhang Cangshui, etc. On January 7, 2011, the former site of Zhongshan Park was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang Province.
