South Vietnam King Museum Royal Palace Exhibition Area Located at No. 316 Zhongshan 4th Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China, the museum is a thematic museum of the palace site of the South Vietnam Kingdom of the Western Han Dynasty, with a total area of 150,000 square meters, including the site of the Imperial Garden, the site of the palace of the South Vietnam Kingdom, the site of the palace of the South Han Kingdom, and the site of the official offices of various dynasties, among others. The imperial garden site was discovered in 1995, and the remains of the palace gardens such as the square pond, the curved moon pond, the curved canal, the flat bridge and the stepping stones were excavated in the site; the palace site was discovered in 2000 in Guangzhou Children's Park, and only the "scattered water" part of one of the large palaces has been cleaned up. On November 20, 1996, the site was listed as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, and on June 11, 2006, the partially restored remains of over 3,000 square meters were opened to the public, and some of the 10,000 excavated artifacts were exhibited. A selection of artifacts from more than 10,000 excavations was exhibited to the public.
In the "2012 World Heritage Watch List" announced by the World Heritage Foundation, the site of the South Vietnam Palace was selected.
On September 8, 2021, in response to the establishment of the South Vietnam King Museum, the former South Vietnam King Palace Museum became part of the royal palace exhibition area of the South Vietnam King Museum.
