Located on Ersha Island on the banks of the Pearl River in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China, Xinghai Concert Hall was completed on March 3, 1998, and officially opened on June 13 of the same year - the birth date of Xian Xinghai. The concert hall is named after the famous musician Xian Xinghai during the Republic of China. It is currently one of the largest concert halls in mainland China. To the east of the concert hall is the Guangdong Museum of Fine Arts, and to the north is the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Museum, all three forming a distinctive cultural landscape.
