Facts and practical information
The Krapina Neanderthal Museum is located at the Hušnjakovo site in Krapina, with the world's most famous site of the Neanderthal man. The site itself is protected as the first paleontological monument of nature in Croatia. The new museum was officially opened on February 27, 2010. The Krapina Neanderthal Museum operates within the Museum Institution of the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje, which combines five museums in the Krapina-Zagorje County.
