Bremeni torn, Tallinn

The Bremen Tower is a four -storey horseshoe -shaped tower, one of the defense facilities of the Tallinn City Wall.

One side is the tower behind the monks, the closest preserved neighbor in the city wall is the Hattorpe-back tower. Previously, a small beach gate and a tower at the old Russian church were between the Bremen and Hattorpe-back tower.

The outer wall of the tower is nearly 2 m thick, the city wall is 1 m thick. The door of the tower has a double lock, as the city gunpowder was kept here in the early 20th century. On the second floor where there was a prison, you can reach the wall of the wall. The prison is a room with no lighting, small air vents and a toilet with iron rings in the walls. The third and four floors were with shooting openings and fireplaces.

The Bremen Tower is in contact with the Bremen move, which connects the new street to the Russian street.

When the tower became a new owner in the 16th century, the tower began to be called the Kampferbeck tower. Until the 17th century, the tower had a prison on two floors, and later a gunpowder warehouse was held there. In the 1950s, the passage was cut into Bremen, later the Bremen Bar was opened.
