Facts and practical information
The Cape Fréhel lighthouse is a maritime lighthouse of the Côtes-d'Armor. The current lighthouse, built from 1946 to 1950 on the tip of Cape Fréhel, nearly 70 m above the waves, is the successor to two older buildings located on the same site. It lights and secures the passage from the bay of Saint-Brieuc to the harbor of Saint-Malo, which is very difficult to access because of the wind. The lighthouse is classified as a historical monument by order of May 23, 2011.
