The Capucin funicular is located in the commune of Mont-Dore. It is the first electric funicular built in France and is registered as a historical monument. Its line crosses 175 meters of difference in altitude and ends at the Salon du Capucin, at an altitude of 1 245 meters. The Capucin funicular operates from spring to fall and can carry up to 114 passengers per hour and per direction at a speed of one meter per second.
