Facts and practical information
The Saint-Victor church is a gothic church built in the city center of Guyancourt. It is dedicated to Saint Victor, a Roman soldier, martyr, who died on July 21, 303 in Marseille.
Some elements of the church would be prior to the 13th century and Merovingian sarcophagi, discovered in 1998, suggest the presence on this site of a place of worship from the 6th century.
The bell of 1557, recast in 1900, is classified since April 27, 1944. The church has been registered as a historical monument since January 11, 1951.
