Site Aquis Segeste - vestiges gallo-romains
Facts and practical information
Aquae Segetae is an ancient spa town and spring sanctuary of the High Roman Empire developed from a pre-existing Gallic place of worship.
The remains of the ensemble form today an archaeological site located at Sceaux-du-Gâtinais in the Loiret department and the Centre-Val de Loire region.
This site should not be confused with the homonymous site of Aquae Segetae, an ancient Gallo-Roman spa located in Moingt, on the territory of the town of Montbrison in the Loire department.
The site is open to the public on Sundays and holidays, between Easter and mid-September, between 3 and 6 pm.
