Victor Édouard Paysant, born on January 17, 1841 in Fel, of Noël Paysant and Pauline Mélanie Lebas, was the parish priest of Ménil-Gondouin from 1873 to his death on July 26, 1921, and the creator of the living and speaking church visible in this place and restored in the early 2000s.
