Facts and practical information
The forest railway of Abreschviller is an old railway network intended for the exploitation of the forest of Abreschviller, in the Vosges mountains, in Moselle.
Today, part of this network has been converted into a tourist line. Old steam and diesel trains run on this 6.1 km long, 0.70 m narrow-gauge line that winds through the valley of the Red Saar.
Abreschviller was also the end of the Sarrebourg - Abreschviller standard gauge line, closed in 1991, now decommissioned and removed.
