The Château de la Barollière is an ancient fortified castle that stands in the commune of Limonest in the metropolis of Lyon and whose oldest notarized acts date back to 1374. The castle was extensively remodeled in the 17th century under the impetus of Jean Maritz. It was enlarged and made more comfortable with the addition of numerous windows and the creation of decorated rooms.

The castle was registered as a historical monument by order of June 7, 1926.
