The castle of Septème is an ancient fortified castle, of the XIVth century, reworked in the XVth and XVIth centuries, which stands on the commune of Septème in the department of Isère, in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The site concentrates the ruins of a first castle of the XIth century, of an enclosure of the XIIIth century and the current castle whose origin goes back to the XIVth - XVth century.
The ramparts, the remains of the first castle and the covered way of the old city were classified by a decree of February 12, 1942; the castle, the janitor's lodge and the park were registered by a decree of February 27, 1947.
