Figure of the civil architecture of Ardèche, the castle of Aubenas, also called castle of Montlaur, is located in the town of Aubenas, in the department of Ardèche and the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This "building with metamorphoses" bears the mark of the six lordly families who lived there from the 12th century until the Revolution.
It has been classified as a historical monument since March 2, 1943.
