The castle of the bishops of Montpellier, known locally as the castle of Lavérune, is an old religious building from the 18th century built on the site of a 16th century residence, itself having succeeded a 12th century feudal castle.

Located in the commune of Lavérune, it is presented by the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs, in 2018, as one of the largest historical parks in the department of Hérault with an area of nearly 40 hectares inside a long enclosure of nearly 3.5 km.
