Facts and practical information

The castle of Urtubie, located in the commune of Urrugne, 3 km from Saint-Jean-de-Luz, was rebuilt in 1505 on the ruins of an old feudal castle built in 1341 and razed and burned in 1497, of which only a few defensive walls and a keep remained. In 1745, the second castle was the object of important installations and extensions. It has been listed as a historical monument since 1974.
