Château, Canet-en-Roussillon

The castle of Canet-en-Roussillon, an ancient viscount's castle mentioned as early as the XIth century and many times reworked afterwards, stands on a hill north of the old village of Canet-en-Roussillon, in the Pyrénées-Orientales department. After a long period of abandonment, it has fallen into ruin. Since the 1960s, it has been undergoing restoration by the association of the Friends of Old Canet.
