The National Monument of the Victory of the Marne is a memorial of the first battle of the Marne and perpetuates the memory of the soldiers who fought from September 6 to 12, 1914 during this battle of the First World War. Located in the commune of Mondement-Montgivroux in the southwestern part of the Marne, nine kilometers from Sézanne, the site includes, in addition to the national monument, a local museum, the village church and cemetery, and the castle.
