The church of Saint-André is the Catholic church of the town of Antrain. It depends on the archdiocese of Rennes and is dedicated to the apostle Saint André. Beyond the destructions, enlargements and restorations that have affected it, the church of Saint Andrew of Antrain is one of the best preserved Romanesque buildings of the archdiocese of Rennes. Although the request for classification of the building dated December 7, 1909, went unheeded, Saint-André d'Antrain is nonetheless one of the most interesting transitional buildings, combining Romanesque decoration and innovative architectural elements, heralding the spread of the Gothic style in Brittany.
