Facts and practical information

The Saint-Louis church is one of the main parish churches of the city of Rochefort, in the department of Charente-Maritime. Counting among the rare testimonies of the neo-classical architecture of the department, its construction was carried out under the direction of the architect Félix Garde in 1835.

One of the side chapels houses the tomb of Michel Bégon, Intendant of the Navy and of the Generalitat of La Rochelle, who contributed to the embellishment of the city at the end of the 17th century.
