The church of St. Peter and St. Paul Ottmarsheim is a church of the eleventh century located in Ottmarsheim in the Haut-Rhin, Alsace, in the Grand Est. Founded by Rodolphe d'Altenbourg, one of the founders of the house of Habsburg, and dedicated to the apostles of Christ Saint Peter and Saint Paul, it is famous in Alsace and in the Upper Rhine for its remarkable and rare architecture of church with octagonal central plan of paleochristian style, Byzantine, pre-Roman, Carolingian, and Ottonian style, inspired by the Palatine Chapel of Aachen of the Carolingian Emperor Charlemagne and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The church is classified as a historical monument since October 1, 1841.
