The Nichot tower is a medieval tower located in Fougères and forming part of the urban enclosure of the bourg-neuf. It belongs to the southern and western ramparts of the city which run along the lower valley of the Nançon. It is located between the redan extending to the south the Notre-Dame gate and the Papegaud tower. The Nichot tower belonged to André Almire in the years 1940-1950 who gave it this name. Later it was bought by the city.
