The castle of Val is a fortified castle of the thirteenth century, reworked and restored several times, which stands on the town of Lanobre in the department of Cantal, in the country of Artense, in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
The castle was classified as a historical monument by a decree of September 23, 1946; the Saint-Blaise chapel, which is part of the castle's outbuildings, was classified by a decree of September 7, 1961; the facades and roofs of the outbuildings, the fountain, and the ground of the parcel of land on which they are located were registered by a decree of September 10, 1990.
