Facts and practical information
The calvary-fountain of Miribel also called mission cross of the Saint-Romain fountain is a calvary with a fountain in its lower part. It is located in the center of the Henri-Grobon square in Miribel, in the Ain.
At first a simple mission cross in the 18th century, it became a calvary following the execution by decapitation of the parish priest of Miribel in Year II of the Republican Era. Finally, from 1832, following a period of drought, the monument was transformed into a fountain with three troughs serving as a drinking trough.
