David Gareja Monastery Complex

The David Gareja Monastery Complex is an ancient religious and cultural site located in the Kakheti region of Georgia. This complex, also known as Udabno Monastery, is situated on the slopes of Mount Gareja and is renowned for its unique cave architecture and stunning desert landscape. The monastery dates back to the 6th century and is believed to have been founded by one of the thirteen Assyrian monks, David Garejeli, who came to the region to spread the teachings of Christianity.
