Kitron

Kitron is a distinctive citron liqueur originating from the picturesque Greek island of Naxos. Crafted from both the fruit and leaves of the citron tree, which is similar to a lemon tree but boasts a more robust flavor, Kitron delivers a unique taste experience. The liqueur is available in three distinct varieties: green, yellow, and clear. The green version is sweeter with a lower alcohol content, while the yellow version is the strongest and least sweet. The clear Kitron strikes a harmonious balance between sweetness and potency.

In the early 1980s, Kitron enjoyed a surge in popularity; however, today it has become a rare find outside of Naxos, largely due to the decline in the number of citron trees. The first distillery to produce Kitron was established in 1896 in the charming village of Halki.
