Dimini was a prehistoric settlement of the modern Neolithic era, that is, after the preliminary period and before the final Neolithic. It is located near today's homonymous town and is 4 km from Volos.

Today's bastard was subject to 2010 in the Municipality of Aestia and later joined the Municipality of Volos. Aesonia dates back to antiquity and is the westernmost part of the Volos region.
