The Milatos Cave is located in the village of Milatos, Lasithi Prefecture in Crete.

Here, in 1823, 2,000 female children were slaughtered by Hassan Pasha's army after a long siege. In remembrance of this sacrifice, an engraved inscription was placed at the entrance of the cave and a chapel and osteophyx was built inside it.

The Milat Cave is open to visitors. It consists of many small rooms at different levels and is very easy to explore. For someone who wants to see in his darkest corners, a lens is necessary.
