Popular food products found on store shelves in Honduras include bananas, rice, bread, onions, eggs, tomatoes, cheese, beef and potatoes, among others. Prices for a kilo of these products range from 57.42 HNL (8.02 PLN) for a kilo of onions to 293 HNL (40.95 PLN) for a kilo of beef. The price of white rice is 38.39 HNL (5.36 PLN) per kilo, while a loaf of fresh white bread costs 51.04 HNL (7.13 PLN) per half kilo. Bananas cost 37.27 HNL (5.21 PLN) per kilo, while apples cost 86.84 HNL (12.13 PLN) per kilo.
Water, available in 1.5-liter bottles, costs 34.48 HNL (4.82 PLN). Dairy prices in Honduras, on the other hand, are as follows: 1 liter of milk costs about 39.44 HNL (5.51 PLN), and 1 kilogram of locally produced cheese is an expense of 195 HNL (27.22 PLN).
