The Taródi Castle in Sopron is a significant work of visionary architecture in Hungary. It is named after its builder and owner, István Taródi. Locals and the tabloids sometimes refer to it as the "Madman's Castle". The builder of the castle, id. István Taródi was born in 1925 and died in February 2010 at the age of 85. His grave is in the Szent Mihály cemetery in Sopron.
